Meeting Minutes July 1st

It was a great online meeting last night and thank you, Karan for hosting the Zoom. I couldn’t attend but I’ve watched the video and let me say, it’s must-see TV for the 4th of July weekend. Kenzii Graves was our Toastmaster and she did a masterful job keeping the trains running smoothly throughout the meeting which, by the way, included a special guest appearance by Gregory Simpson, the pride of Falmouth Mass.

Our resident philosopher, Karan Bavandi was up first with some very interesting thoughts on the nature of thoughts, which gave everyone something to think about. Have I overused that repetitive literary device? Karan’s speech was followed by an innocuous but very constructive round robin evaluation.

Shaun Shue was next with a presentation appropriately titled, “What’s next?” Shaun shared something we haven’t seen before; what Kenzii called a “breakup presentation”. You see, coming next for Shaun is a transition to a more stable, 8 to 5 work lifestyle and he is using this presentation as a way of notifying his existing clients of the change. Great job but I think the typical workday is 9 to 5, right? Knowing Shaun, he probably wants to get in early.

The TTM last night was Ashton Jajonie who elevated the discourse by asking insightful questions which resulted in some very interesting replies such as the one given by Gregory Simpson. Gregory shared with the group his method of using cheeseburgers and ice baths for mood management. Something to try this weekend.

If, like me, you couldn’t attend last night or would like to simply review your brilliant performance, here’s the link to the video which, by the way, was started on time by Karan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBF5iareUPk

You can now review all your brilliant performances in previous meetings! Check out all our meeting videos (and those meeting photos that look like we’re having so much fun) right here: https://siliconspeech.org/meeting-videos/
