It was another big night in the Boardroom at Silicon Speech last night. A meeting that included the group serenading VPM, Len Kung on her birthday. It was a moment, maybe even a metanoia for some.
Karan Bavandi made his debut as Toastmaster and Otto Von Wachter was our first speaker. He gave us a brief tour of his new “Mesh” app which will make it easier and safer for you find communities on-line. Shar McBee was up next extolling the benefits of practicing kindness which set the tone for the evaluation portion of the meeting. Kind but instructional, that’s the definition of a Toastmaster evaluation.
And finally, Sam Nazarian was terrific as a first time Table Topics Master. We’re not going to meet next Thursday, October 31st as we’ll all be out trick or treating. We’ll reconvene in Conference Room C on Thursday, November 7th. And don’t forget, our big Cross Campus Open House is scheduled for November 14th.
