Meeting Minutes – 08.29.19

It was the big, Pre-Labor Day, Silicon Speech Toastmasters meeting last night and a good time was had by all. James Allen Hanrahan was our featured speaker and his talk was about Money, always an interesting topic. He began with a query to determine our attitudes toward the subject (good, bad or indifferent) and then showed us how we could make more of it. We were all ears. The speech was followed by an in-depth, insightful evaluation and then we moved on to Table Topics lead by Shar McBee. Shar’s theme was turning manure into fertilizer and included a visual aid that we won’t soon forget. You had to be there.

Once again, the sign-up sheet was passed around and here’s what it looks like for next Thursday’s meeting. We have numerous opportunities for you to participate. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” So, let’s get involved and learn!
